What is capacity grading?

By charging and discharging each lithium battery, the computer records the data of each test point, and thus obtains the capacity and internal resistance of each battery, and determines the quality grade of the lithium battery. This process is called capacity grading.
Why do we need to do capacity grading?

For batteries of the same specifications and models, the better the capacity and performance, the more expensive the price.
Classification of capacity grading machines.
New batteries need to be graded before leaving the factory, and old batteries also need to be graded after cascade utilization. We call the special program-controlled equipment used to test battery performance a capacity grading machine. There are three common types of capacity sorting cabinets: cylindrical battery capacity grading machine, aluminum prismatic battery capacity grading machine, and pouch soft-pack polymer capacity grading machine. The internal structures of the three are almost the same. They are all composed of control systems, load modules, data acquisition modules, etc., but the fixtures are different. The cylinder and the prismatic aluminum shell are contacted by upper and lower needles, while the pouch polymer uses a gold-plated flat fixture to clamp the pole ears for charging and discharging tests.
